Happy holidays from all of us at OMOCAT!

As this year comes to an end, we’d like to express our heartfelt gratitude for your support during our 10th anniversary! To close out the year, we are donating $100,000 across 10 different charities.

The charities we are donating to are...

ACLU - American Civil Liberties Union Foundation - $10,000

“For nearly 100 years, the ACLU has been our nation’s guardian of liberty, working in courts, legislatures, and communities to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties that the Constitution and the laws of the United States guarantee everyone in this country.“

AFSP - American Foundation for Suicide Prevention - $10,000

“Established in 1987, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is a voluntary health organization that gives those affected by suicide a nationwide community empowered by research, education and advocacy to take action against this leading cause of death.“

ALSAC - St. Jude Children's Research Hospital - $10,000

“The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay.“

Doctors Without Borders - USA - $10,000

“Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) offers medical humanitarian assistance to people based solely on need, irrespective of race, religion, gender, or political affiliation. Our teams of doctors, nurses, logisticians, and other frontline workers are often among the first on the scene when peoples’ lives are upended by conflict, disease outbreaks, or natural or human-made disasters.“

PAN Foundation - Patient Access Network Foundation - $10,000

“Created by and for patient organizations more than 100 years ago, the National Health Council (NHC) brings diverse organizations together to forge consensus and drive patient-centered health policy. We promote increased access to affordable, high-value, sustainable, equitable health care. Made up of more than 170 national health- related organizations and businesses, the NHC’s core membership includes the nation’s leading patient organizations. Other members include health-related associations and nonprofit organizations including the provider, research, and family caregiver communities; and businesses representing biopharmaceutical, device, diagnostic, generic drug, and payer organizations.“

Room to Read - $10,000

“Room to Read is creating a world free from illiteracy and gender inequality. We are achieving this goal by helping children in historically low-income communities develop literacy skills and a habit of reading, and by supporting girls as they build skills to succeed in school and negotiate key life decisions. We collaborate with governments and other partner organizations to deliver positive outcomes for children at scale.“

San Diego Humane Society - $10,000

“We offer San Diego a wide range of programs and services that strengthen the human-animal bond, prevent cruelty/neglect, provide medical care, educate the community on the humane treatment of animals and provide safety net services for all pet families needing assistance with keeping their pets.“

The Trevor Project - $10,000

“The Trevor Project is the leading suicide prevention and crisis intervention nonprofit organization for LGBTQ+ young people. We provide information & support to LGBTQ+ young people 24/7, all year round.“

Women's Bean Project - $10,000

“We are a Colorado 501(c)(3) non-profit social enterprise that supports women striving to create lasting change in their lives by establishing steppingstones to self-sufficiency. We believe all women have the power to transform their lives through employment. We envision a day when barriers to employment are eliminated, when employers hire based on talent and potential rather than background. We hope all women who want a second chance can come to the Bean Project and find the community, support and confidence needed to improve the future for themselves, their families and the community.“

WRI - World Resources Institute - $10,000

“WRI is a trusted partner for change. Using research-based approaches, we work globally and in focus countries to meet people’s essential needs; to protect and restore nature; and to stabilize the climate and build resilient communities. We aim to fundamentally transform the way the world produces and uses food and energy and designs its cities to create a better future for all.”

Thank you for helping us support these causes that are important to us. We can’t wait to share more exciting projects with you next year. See you in 2025!
